On the evening of 13th November, Nunthorpe Hall Care Home came alive with the glamour and charm of the Rat Pack era. Residents, families, and friends gathered in our magnificent Great Hall for a night of music, laughter, and timeless entertainment. The evening’s star performer, Tom Powell, delivered a stunning tribute to the golden age of swing, captivating the audience with his renditions of classics by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. His smooth vocals and charismatic presence transported everyone to the iconic era of the Rat Pack. Guests were treated to a selection of delicious canapés and sipped on chilled prosecco, creating a sophisticated ambiance to complement the evening’s theme. It was heart-warming to see residents tapping their feet, clapping along, and even joining in for a singalong to their favourite hits. On 13th August, Nunthorpe Hall was filled with joy and celebration as resident Mable reached the remarkable milestone of her 100th birthday! Family, friends, and staff gathered to honour her incredible journey and share in this once-in-a-lifetime occasion. The day was complete with decorations, a delicious cake, and a special card from the King, recognising Mable’s century of memories, achievements, and laughter. Reflecting on her life, Mable shared stories of times past, filling the room with nostalgia and warmth. The staff at Nunthorpe Hall feel privileged to have celebrated this incredible day with her. Here’s to Mable and the many cherished memories yet to come!

On Wednesday, 16th October, Nunthorpe Hall was filled with the delightful sounds of jazz and the refreshing clink of gin glasses as residents, family members, and staff gathered for a special "Gin & Jazz" event. The event was a resounding success, offering an opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy a sophisticated evening together. Guests were treated to a variety of canapés, expertly paired with a selection of gins, creating a truly memorable experience for all. The live jazz music added a warm atmosphere, bringing smiles to the faces of everyone in attendance. It was an evening filled with laughter, music, and great company, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!​
