As September arrived, Nunthorpe Hall was filled with the golden glow of autumn sunshine and the cozy charm of the new season. Our residents have enjoyed a wonderful month of activities, laughter, and friendship as we welcomed the crisp days and colourful leaves of autumn.

We began the month with an afternoon of beautiful harp music, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere in our lounge. Residents gathered to enjoy the calming melodies and a cup of tea, soaking in the elegance of the performance.

Our regular favourites continued to bring everyone together — from armchair exercise sessions to keep us moving, to bingo, dominoes, and book club, which always spark plenty of friendly competition and conversation. Creative afternoons were a highlight too, as our autumn arts and crafts sessions inspired beautiful seasonal decorations — from colourful leaves and pumpkins to the start of our Halloween displays around the home.

We were delighted to host a raffle and a classic fish and chip supper, both met with smiles and laughter all around. Later in the month, we enjoyed an evening event with a live singer, filling the home with music and dancing. The “Once Upon a Memory” show was another wonderful highlight, taking residents on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

A visit from Molly the therapy dog brought plenty of cuddles and joy — her gentle nature always lights up our residents’ faces.

It’s been a busy, heartwarming month here at Nunthorpe Hall, celebrating friendship, creativity, and the beauty of the new season. As the leaves continue to turn, we look forward to all the autumn days still to come. 🍁
