summer 2025 at nunthorpe hall

Summer at Nunthorpe Hall has been a season full of joy, celebration, and togetherness. Our Grade II listed home, with its warm and homely atmosphere, came alive with events, activities, and plenty of laughter shared between residents, families, and friends.
We marked some very special occasions, including our VE Day celebrations, a lively summer fete on the lawns, and milestone birthdays – Mabel’s remarkable 101st and David’s 90th. These were wonderful opportunities to bring everyone together, creating memories to cherish.
Our residents also enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the season, from creative afternoons of arts and crafts and flower arranging, to relaxing with our book club and taking part in pet therapy sessions. The sunshine encouraged us outdoors for gardening, garden games, picnics, and traditional afternoon teas, all set against the beautiful backdrop of our historic home and its grounds. Evenings brought just as much fun, with highlights including a fish and chip supper and an energetic rockabilly night filled with music and dancing.
Life at Nunthorpe Hall is always about more than just care – it’s about community, companionship, and enjoying each day to the fullest. This summer has been a shining example of that, and we’re already looking forward to what the next season will bring.
